At 600 square feet, this tucked away taqueria on Portland’s North Mississippi avenue presented an interesting design challenge – to create the look and feel of an authentic taqueria, yet incorporate the amenities of a highly functioning restaurant. Through careful space planning and historical analysis, the gentle balance of the un-designed design was achieved. Warm, vibrant colors, historical neighborhood references and recycled materials all help to make Por Que No an inviting and fun dining experience.
